Terrance Cobb is the Assistant Director of Bands at Homewood High School. He has been working in Homewood City Schools since 2006. Prior to his appointment as the full-time Assistant Director of Bands at Homewood High School, Mr. Cobb was the Director of Bands at Homewood Middle School.
Originally from Fitzgerald, Georgia, Mr. Cobb currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to his responsibilities as Assistant Director of Bands, Mr. Cobb also serves as the Visual Coordinator for the Homewood High School Patriot Marching Band, and is the Head Tennis Coach for the Homewood High School boys’ team, and Assistant Coach to the girls’ team.
Terrance Cobb received both his Bachelors of Music Education, and his Masters of Science in Education, from Troy University. While at Troy University, Mr. Cobb was a member of the Troy University Symphony Band, the Troy University Concert Band, and the Troy University Sound of the South Marching Band. While attending Troy University he served as the color guard instructor of the Sound of the South Marching band. Mr. Cobb also studied private tuba with Dr. Mark J. Walker.
Mr. Cobb’s professional membership includes Alabama Bandmasters Association, National Bandmasters Association, NAfME. He is also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Service Fraternity, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity.
